lithograph printed in colour, 1899, on medium-weight cream wove paper, a very fine and fresh impression, the only state, printed almost to the margins, as originally published in L'Estampe et l'Affiche, with the magazine's blindstamp lower right, exceptionally signed* lower right in pencil, two small gummed mounts on the reverse, otherwise in pristine condition

This spontaneously drawn lithograph represents a colourful scene at the Moulin Rouge cabaret , with the dancer in the foreground set against a gallery teeming with the local nightlife.


*According to Ginestet and Pouillon (p. 22), only a few impressions were signed by the artist: "seules quelques épreuves ont été ultérieurement signées par l'artiste."
